Duncan MacDonald travelled to the Highlands of Scotland after retiring from teaching which inspired him to reflect on the early settlement of Northeastern Nova Scotia and the cultural elements that have carried through generations. A member of the Antigonish Highland Society, he has created stage productions re-enacting Highland immigration and celebrating the taigh ceilidh tradition. He believes a culture that has endured so long must be preserved.
Rosalie MacEachern is a journalist who was raised on stories of the Highland Gaels, igniting a life-long interest.
